Cottrell Paper Company is a family owned and operated business that has been manufacturing high-grade electrical insulating papers at their facility in Rock City Falls, New York since 1926.
Cottrell Paper produces electrical grade papers from .003" to .060" at 7.0 PH (neutral) which is manufactured from 100% cotton.
- Copaco commonly referred to as "Rag Paper" is made from 100% cotton using new clippings from clothing and denim manufacturers, this material would otherwise be landfilled.
- Copaco-125 is the Copaco base paper with substantially greater elongation and tensile strength.
- Kraft electrical grade is made from the finest virgin wood pulp.
Cottrell Paper's ideology is based on continuous improvement. It is this belief that has initiated several large improvement projects within the past few years.
Production process improvements within the past few years have included: installation of new automated rag cutter, installation of a new state of the art stock cleaning system, a complete new wet-end paper machine to improve cross machine profile, automated dry-end moisture and basis weight control systems, and replacement of all stock approach piping and headbox, with food-grade stainless steel to eliminate the formation of lumps and knots in the stock.

Cottrell Paper Company, Inc. has expanded its product line to include several new thicknesses and widths of existing products. All Cottrell papers are available in continuous rolls up to 60" wide, sheets, or coils slit to your specifications from .190 inches and up. Cottrell Paper Company insulation papers are available in thicknesses from .003" to .060".
